Fray Servando and the guadalupano cult

Fray Servando (1765 - 1827) believed that guadalupano cult was dated back to christianity preaching by Santo Tomé, whom the indians called Quetzalcoatl and they believed that Juan Diego's mantle was the layer of the "holy", so that the virgin paint was not supernatural. The image was painted on the "holy" layer, not in Juan Diego's mantle.

- Vida y muerte de la inquisición en México.

Have never been able to find a record that Juan Diego exist. Why when the children grow up, tell them the truth about Santa Claus, the magic kings, the tooth fairy, but continue telling them other histories? I do not mean about the religion itself, but stories that history has not been proven, or is known to be false. Like Juan Diego's existence, or the heroes kids' story of Chapultepec.

According to José López Portillo's book, Quetzalcoatl was taken to Coatzacoalcos, a canoe was improvised and 3 times he was hurled to sea, and 3 times he was returned for the sea. At the fourth attempt he moved away to east, he wanted to return to his land (Spain?). All presents held their breath until they saw him to vanish beyond horizon, he left knowledge, teaching, hundreds of years before the spanish, he brought the cross (therefore Hernán Cortés was surprised to see on México many civilizations as Toltecas whom knew the christian cross).

According UFO researchers, a big star descended to Quetzalcoatl, he climbed up it and leaves this earth for return to his earth beyond the stars. As evidence, they gives a carved figure in stone of what appears to be a cosmonaut.

According popular belief, Quetzalcoatl died on Coatzacoalcos and he was carried on foot (?) until now called Pico de Orizaba, they climbed it (?) and in the top of the crater, they threw him inside itself and shortly after pop out from crater a big fireball and it climbed until the heaven, making a new star, therefore since that moment, the mountain is called Citlaltepec, or star hill.

Do not make us think this until what point we accept all the stories that are talking in around us?

We search to preserve the status quo which govern on the most conservative sectors of our society?

O just happen that we have become intellectuals bulimics and we are starved of useless and superfluous knowledge.

If that last occurs, then we are becoming in unlearned beings, waiting the big Deus Ex Machina (call it god, government or anyone else being or organization to which we put our trust and part of our life) to descends and it tell us what is the truth, its truth as was represented in the greek outdoor theaters.
